The AŽD Praha company is a significant and all-Czech producer and supplier of signaling, telecommunication, information and automation technologies. It is mainly focused on the rail and road transport field including telematics and other technologies. The company ensures research, development, design, production, installation, reconstruction and maintenance of devices, systems and capital equipment in these main fields:

- metro and factory line operations
- telecommunication, information and radio systems
- telematic applications
- road, signalization and parking systems
- new telephone and telecommunication systems for controlling railroad transport and for informing passengers
The products that our company produces exploit the best edge cutting technologies and processes. Nearly 2 000 employees are employed in the AŽD Praha company. Thanks to its longstanding tradition, since 1954, the company has a leading position among other suppliers in its field.

- the installation of a signaling device into the Prague metro
- implementing the system of automatic train operation into line "A" of the Prague metro
- installation of road signaling systems for controlling intersection over the whole Czech Republic

AŽD Praha abroad
Business activities AŽD Praha s.r.o. abroad form a significant portion of company activities. In Eastern Europe a in Asia the company established successful business contacts. India and in former states of Yugoslavia belong to regions where AZD continues successfully developing business activities. In 2003 a new Subsidiary firm SASI was opened in Serbia. In the following year 2004, another Subsidiary was registered in Sophia, the capital of Bulgaria, which in 2006 became company’s local technological base. At present AZD manufactures interlocking systems for deliveries in Lithuania, Turkey, Greece and Egypt.
