ATP SOP-2P Automatic train protection

General description

  • a subsystem for securing the safe operation of metro trains
  • used for the limiting of train speed in dependence on the operational situations and the reactions of the engine driver
  • the speed limitation is carried out upon information received from:
  • train location on line
    • state of signal devices
    • points state
    • pressure seals
    • continuous speed limits on individual line sections
    • state of buttons of the emergency stop
  • high reliability
  • works within the LZA (ATC) system

Basic technical description

  • the SOP-2P contains a stationary and mobile part
  • the stationary part ensures the transmission of information into the mobile part an the automatic system checks
    • formed by a set of station computers and mobile devices (transmission loops)
    • the computers are located in the interlocking room and the mobile devices in the railyard
  • the mobile part ensures the receiving of information, their assessment and the creation of relevant commands
    • one trains set is equipped with two sets of this device
    • they can be set to any of the five working modes chosen by the engine driver
