VZ 200 Jaw (clamp) point lock
General description
- a replaceable lock which operates between the tongue and the stock rail
- used for controlling replaceable tongues and moveable toes of frogs and for their fixation at end positions
- mainly intended for mounting on new points (simple and slip points) UIC 60 and S 49
- can be placed between sleepers or into hollow sleepers
- minimum maintenance needs, simple installation and setting
- high resistivity against railroad environment
Basic technical description
- absorbs influences of thermal dilatation of long tongues
- secures points up to speeds of 200 km/h
- in 2004 tested for speeds up to 250 km/h
- an important advantage is the stability of the parameters of adjusted points and environment friendly features
- the jaw lock enable multi-point machine control of a simple point
