Track circuits

General description

  • the KO-3103 are circuits for the detection of the track occupancy
  • the KO-4300 are circuits for the forked sections on points and for direct track sections
  • minimum range of impedance bonds
  • minimum outside equipment of track circuits
  • detection of rail track integrity
  • choice of signal frequency - 75 Hz or 275 Hz

Basic technical description

KO-3103 track circuits

  • used for electrified tracks and for tracks with independent traction with electrically heated passenger coaches
  • supplied by a bi-phase voltage 2 x 230 V, 75 Hz with a 90° phase shift

KO-4300 track circuits

  • used for electrified tracks and for tracks with independent traction and with electrically heated passenger coaches
  • supplied by a bi-phase voltage 2 x 230 V, 275 Hz with a 90° phase shift
  • both KOs use DT-0,75 impedance bonds and a so called receiver part
  • the KO-3103 and the KO-4300 use a DSŠ-12 P relay or a set of TCR track receivers (see KOA1) as a receiver part

Compatibility

  • interlocking systems and signaling systems, LVZ
