Basic technical description
- the system contains CCD cameras and computer
- a part of the system are infrared reflectors used for easier detection during bad weather or at night
- the detection cameras monitor a fixed area
- the computer evaluates the information in real time
- the acquired data are automatically compared with the database of stolen vehicle or with another relevant database
- the following information is saved into the database for all detected cars: date, place, time, recognized number plate and a picture of the vehicle
- information about the offence can be sent to a mobile police patrol unit
