WEIGHTCON® dynamic vehicle scaling system
General description

- the system is based on scaling and recognizing the number plates of vehicles

Basic technical description
- the system contains piezoelectric sensors, passage detectors (e.g. induction loops), CCD cameras and relevant evaluation units
- 6 to 8 piezoelectric sensors must be installed for each driving lane
- a part of the CCD cameras are infrared reflectors used for easier detection during bad weather or at night
- according to the information about the pressure and distance of individual axles the vehicle is cataloged into relevant groups
- the system compares the measured and the maximal allowed weight
- if the system assess the vehicle to be overloaded then a mobile police unit is informed via a wireless connecton
