Basic technical description
- reflective and light elements alert the driver at a sufficient distance in front of the level crossing that he is approaching the road dangerous place
- an integral part of a safer level crossing is the indicator of approaching trains which informs drivers about the direction and the track of an arriving train
- The indicator of approaching trains can be used also on level crossings with barriers to improve the awareness of waiting drivers
- A30 warning traffic signs and A31 signal boards placed in distances of 240, 160 and 80 m before the level crossing are equipped with background reflexive foil
- red diode lights with high luminous intensity are embedded into the road surface and their vertical illumination makes the crossing visible hundreds of meters away
- at a time when the train approaches the level crossing, the road LEDs start flashing in the same frequency as the red light on the warning board
