Another significant contract in Belarus was obtained by AŽD Praha
Another significant contract with the Belarusian Railways was concluded by the Czech producer and supplier of control and signalling equipment, the company AŽD Praha. Signalling equipment amounting approximately to 350 mil CZK will be supplied by AŽD Praha for the railway line Žlobin – Gomel in Belarus, such contract being already the eighth significant contract of this purely Czech company in the given region.
The fully electronic station interlocking equipment ESA 44-BC for 6 railway stations, line signalling system ABE-1-BC for 90 km line section, diagnostics systems and supply stands, 2 railway level crossings PZZ-J and a testing sample of electromechanical point machines intended for testing operation will be supplied by AŽD Praha to the Belarusian Railways within the project of modernization of the railway line Žlobin - Gomel.
“All railway signalling technology will be manufactured and supplied by AŽD Praha within so called “turnkey project“ and the project is a big challenge considering its delivery terms“, explains the Foreign Marketing and Trade Department Director Petr Žatecký.
The production of the equipment will be provided by AŽD Praha experts in the Czech Republic and part of the supply equipment will be assembled by local companies upon the provided licence in Belarus.
The company AŽD Praha has developed a very good cooperation with Belarus. The modernization of the railway signalling equipment for roughly 110 km of the line Osipoviči-Žlobin is currently being completed by AŽD Praha in cooperation with Brest Electrotechnical Plant (Belarus).
