Belorussian Railways are safeguarded by AŽD Praha for the seventh time The Czech manufacturer and supplier of control and signaling technology, AŽD Praha Co., has concluded another significant contract with Belorussian Railways. AŽD Praha will supply the signaling equipment in value of approximately 300 million CZK for the railway junction Žlobin in Belorussia. It is the seventh considerable foreign contract of this all-Czech company in the region concerned.

Within the project of equipping the Žlobin rail junction with new signaling technology, AŽD Praha will deliver to Belorussian Railways fully electronic station interlocking type ESA 44-BC, open line signaling equipment ABE-1-BC, diagnostics systems and power supply racks.

„Exceptionality of this project, which includes signaling of overall 277 turnouts, consists i.a. in the fact that AŽD Praha will manufacture and supply all railway signaling technology in so called “turnkey” way” explains Director of Foreign Trade and Marketing Petr Žatecký.

The manufacture of the equipment, which should be completed in compliance with the contract at the beginning of the next year, will culminate with the visit of Belorussian Railways representatives who will actively take part in final checks and testing of the equipment at AŽD Praha plants in Olomouc.

AŽD Praha Co. has established very good cooperation with Belorussia. At present time it completes in cooperation with Brest Electrotechnic Plant (Belorussia) the modernization of railway signaling equipment at approximately 110 km long section of Osipoviči-Žlobin line.
