The project is based on FIDIC rules and its realization should be completed by the end of year 2020. AŽD Praha is the main supplier of modern signaling technology to 6 railway stations and on 50 km of track section. Local subcontracts in the field of telecommunications, construction works and energy systems will be provided by local companies.
"AŽD Praha, as the main contractor of the project, will ensure the design, manufacture, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning of the fully electronic station interlocking ESA 44-PL and will coordinate all other works and supplies from local subcontractors," explains the Managing Director of AŽD Prague Zdeněk Chrdle.
The project started with the signature of the contract and is co-financed by the EU through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
"We are delighted that such a significant project in Poland will be realized by our company, which wants to demonstrate the quality of Czech technology and the high flexibility of our employees even in other projects we are trying to achieve. In Poland we are not a well-known company, which we want to change in the future," adds Zdeněk Chrdle.
