AŽD Praha signed a contract in Poland

AŽD Praha signed a contract with the Polish railway infrastructure administrator PKP PLK to modernize the signaling and communication equipment on the Słonice - Szczecin Dąbie line. The value of the contract is 201,2 million zł (1,2 billion CZK).

For the Czech company AŽD Praha it is already the second major contract with PKP PLK on the basis of a successful tendering procedure. The project is based on the FIDIC rules and is to be completed by the end of 2020. AŽD Praha is the main supplier of modern signaling technologies to six railway stations and to 62 km long track section. Local companies will ensure certain sub-deliveries in the field of telecommunication, construction works and energy systems.

“This is already the second section of the E59 Poznan - Szczecin Dąbie line where our company delivers its technology. AŽD Praha, as the main contractor of the project, will ensure the design, production, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of the fully electronic station interlocking ESA 44-PLT and will coordinate all other work and supplies from local subcontractors, "says AŽD Praha Managing Director of AŽD Praha Zdeněk Chrdle.

The project started with the contract signature and is co-financed by the EU through the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).
